Specifiers of louvers with horizontal blades have long known the limitations of the product. Size the louver at too high free area velocity and run the risk of water penetration. Size the louver to prevent water penetration and the low free area velocity requires a much larger louver bank be used. With the ASL series wind driven rain and sand are no longer a problem.

In applications where wind driven rain penetration is a problem, the ASL-6 offers the solution. Designed to prevent 99.9% of water penetration in rainfall rates of 14" per hour and winds of 50mph, these vertical louvers can handle the toughest weather.
 
The ASL-4 louver has been selected as the preferred rain eliminator product for air cooled electric motors and generator houses by industry leaders in the manufacturing of ocean going oil platforms. The ASL series can be anodized for additional protection from the elements.
